On Wednesday 28 August, BIRD and V11 are bringing the Australian cult band GODTET to the iconic red ship in the Rotterdam Wijnhaven.

GODTET has gained cult status in the international underground scene with their unique mix of ambient, electronica, and experimental grooves. Led by guitarist and producer Dave Rodriguez, the collective is unconcerned with categories or genres. The lineup features Dave himself, percussionist Dom Kirk, bassist Jan Bangma, drummer Tully Ryan, and pianist Andrew Bruce.

Whether performing in abandoned warehouses, large concert halls, or collaborating with African traditional musicians and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, GODTET always reinvents itself. Every show is completely different, completely unique.

Radio Trapani & Anton Sconosciuto (support for Godtet) – V11

Before Godtet takes the stage, we’ve got a fresh collab warming things up: Radio Trapani & Anton Sconosciuto. Two Italian minds, based between Amsterdam and Rome, bringing an electro-folk sound that’s somewhere between Gorillaz’ playful beats and Dirty Projectors’ intricate harmonies.

These two have been bouncing ideas back and forth across borders since late 2023, and what came out is a bilingual trip. English/Italian lyrics slipping naturally into each other. Expect songs that zoom in on the here and now: pollution, expensive rent, messy relationships, lonely summers… all wrapped in layered sounds and a sharp ear for tone and texture.

Radio Trapani (aka Dario Trapani) is Amsterdam-based, a guitarist/producer with a jazz background but a serious love for indie-pop hooks. His music blends Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Frank Ocean, and Mac DeMarco vibes into something melancholic but playful.

Anton Sconosciuto, born in London, now living in Rome, is a drummer/composer who moves fluidly between alt-folk, electronics, and experimental beats. He’s played all at SXSW, Reeperbahn, Seattle’s Seagaze and brings a groove that’s restless, detailed, and always surprising.

Together, they’re creating something raw and new. It’s catchy, it’s moody, it’s bilingual, and it’s the kind of set where you’ll catch yourself vibing before you even realize it. Perfect warm-up before Godtet takes you further out.
